With passenger numbers reaching over 2.3 million in 2025 and further expansion planned, including upgraded passenger facilities and critical infrastructure improvements, this is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment at one of Ireland’s key transport hubs.
We welcome applications from persons who have completed a recognized electrical qualification and who are open to the challenge of working as a day electrician in a team-oriented environment. The role is a full-time permanent position responsible for ensuring the effective monitoring and maintenance of all electrical infrastructure across the airport campus.
Role Purpose:
To always ensure optimum service, it is vital that the complex landside and airfield electrical infrastructure at Shannon Airport are maintained to the highest standards. The role encompasses planned, reactive, and emergency maintenance in a diverse range of landside and airfield infrastructural assets. As aspects of this work are aviation specific on the job training shall be provided.

Electrical candidates should have:
Hold electrical trade apprenticeship and appropriate trade certificates
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working as a fully qualified electrician
Good working knowledge of electrical systems design, operations, and maintenance of high voltages systems (ideally airfield based)
Experience of working in a highly regulated and/or safety critical working environment
Familiar with and understand the NSAI regulation and how they affect the maintenance works of major electrical systems
Understand the safety regulations and have a strong concern for the health and safety of self and others
Competent IT skills with experience with Windows based software
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively, with team members, Airport Engineering Team and wider stakeholder
Strong problem-solving skills accepting ownership for delivery and accountability for results
Strong work ethic and high attention to detail and quality of work
Full Clean Class B Licence

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Plumber with demonstratable experience in installation, maintenance and repair to work across a range of plumbing, heating and mechanical systems within the airport buildings and operational areas. The role is a full-time permanent day Plumber.

The role will ensure all systems are maintained to the highest safety, operational and regulatory standards, while contributing to ongoing upgrades and capital projects across the airport campus.
